You should also visit the Haina Monastery, which is one of the best-preserved and most important medieval monastery complexes in Germany when it comes to art history.

North Hesse is considered to be the home of the Brothers Grimm. But it’s not just the Brothers Grimm who were inspired to create their works here. The artist Otto Ubbelohde also found the inspiration for the illustration of the world-famous collection of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm here.
